RecycleMania!

The seventh annual RecycleMania competition, a 10-week contest to promote waste reduction on college campuses is starting! RecycleMania is a friendly competition and benchmarking tool for college and university recycling programs to promote waste reduction activities to their campus communities. From Feb. 6 to April 2, Emory and 571 other schools will compete to determine a recycling champion in one of four contests and targeted materials challenges. Visit recyclemaniacs.org to see the RecycleMania rules and more. Do your part and recycle!

Participate in the recycling video competition for participating colleges and universities. Students are asked to create a short video showing their “love” for recycling on Valentine’s Day 2011. The objective is to present the recycling symbol in an original, creative and innovative way. Participants then upload their video to the RecycleMania YouTube page: (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YlKIGzzecNQ). The top 10 videos will be placed on the RecycleMania Facebook page. Then for two weeks in March, the public will be in control and they will pick their favorite video by clicking the “like” button associated with the video they want to win. The grand prize will be $500 in cash to be used by the college/university’s recycling program to promote the 2012 RecycleMania competition on campus. All members of the winning group (up to 25) will receive a prize pack from RecycleMania!
