Georgia River Network’s “Weekend for Rivers”

Georgia River Network’s “Weekend for Rivers” is February 25-26 and if you love rivers, you can’t miss these two days of river learning, camaraderie and good river times! Friday February 25th will offer field trips, networking time and great programs, such as “Broadening the River Movement,” “Water Trails Toolkit,” and “Georgia Adopt-a-Stream workshop.” Friday field trips include a patrol trip on the Chattahoochee with Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper, a tour and wildlife show at the Chattahoochee Nature Center, and tours of the John’s Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant. Don’t miss the Friday night party featuring a silent auction and River Celebration Awards!

Some special keynote talks on Saturday Feb. 26th include speakers from the Greening Youth Foundation, National Wildlife Federation, Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper, and the Coosa River Basin Initiative.
