“Wellbeing and Sustainable Development: A European Perspective”

A lecture about “Wellbeing and Sustainable Development: A European Perspective” by Jan Bebbington will take place on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 4:00 pm in the Goizueta Business School, Room 301. Jan Bebbington is a Professor of Accounting and Sustainable Development in the School of Management at the University of St. Andrews and Director of the St Andrews Sustainability Institute. Her main research interests focus around corporate social reporting on sustainable development; full cost accounting and modeling; and governance for sustainable development. In these areas of work, she is motivated by a desire to understand how society can develop governance structures and processes that will allow us to move towards the goal of sustainable development. Professor Bebbington has had extensive policy experience as the Scottish Chair of the UK’s Sustainable Development Commission from 2006-2011 and an external advisor to the Scottish Cabinet Sub-Committee on Sustainable Scotland between 2002 and 2007.
